Planning Sysadmin

I’ve done a bunch of cleanup to the server over the past two days. First of all, I setup an ftp for those of you who have websites hosted by me. Second, I cleaned up my own site, changing some functionality. Third, I’ve backed up the entire server. I haven’t backed up anything for a while, so I thought this is a good time, it’s been online 27 days and do for a power outtage. Forth, I emptied a number of unneeded directories, and tightened some security. Finally, I removed a few unneeded applications and shut off a few memory hogging server apps that weren’t being used.
