Reboot And Upgrade
Published:
I just rebooted the system to add more ram. The server only had 128MB of ram (what was I thinking?). It now has 512MB of ram. I’m holding off on a cpu upgrade and additional hard drive space until OpenBSD 3.6. At that time I’ll move from the Celeron 1.1ghz to the AMD 1.4ghz, bigger hard drive(s), and an additional 256MB of ram. On the software side I’ve been starting to document more so that when the time comes the upgrade should be almost painless. I intend on configuring the replacement server, copying over the existing websites, etc, etc, and then doing a hot swap for minimal down time. But that’s months away. For now, just the ram.
